Creatress Process

The idea that a woman comes from a man is ludicrous. I made two men myself, but not by myself.

Inventors look at nature to replicate their functions. That’s why airplanes look like birds and robots look like spiders, dogs, and humans. Nature IS inspiration and THE model for creativity and invention.

The ego flares like the sun when speaking about gender and gender roles. All humans have the desire to be known and loved regardless of gender. The inequality with gender has caused cultural ego flares that are as dramatic as the solar flares that impact the entire planet.

The process of making babies IS the process of creation. Pregnancy IS the model for creating the life you desire.

The Creatress Process

In the beginning, there was an orgasm, a word, an idea, a feeling.

In creating humans, the beginning is sex. In creating possibilities, the beginning is an ah-ha moment, an epiphany! Many times, they even feel similar in the body. A rush of pleasure and excitement! A new possibility! The Cosmos opens, and suddenly, there is a world of infinite possibilities!

I recently witnessed a man become pregnant with new ideas and possibilities. I watched his spirit ignite as he saw a world that he didn’t know existed become a possibility for him! He was ripe and ready for a new direction, and at the moment of conception, his eyes danced with new life and opportunities for himself, his partner, and his young son.

The conception of possibilities is intimate but not sexual. In honoring the space we were experiencing, we never touched, not even to shake hands or hug. Our conversation was electric, with infinite possibilities that to touch would distract from the energy exchange expanding his opportunity and my joy of witnessing his expansion.

It’s beyond my comprehension why someone would want to ruin such a special moment with cheating or other inappropriate behavior. Just do better. We, humans, have plenty of self-control. If you drive a car and aren’t regularly smashing other cars and running people off the road, you have self-control. Quit justifying shitty behavior for yourself and others, and a world of possibilities will open up for you.

The expected gestation of a human is 40 weeks; anywhere between 38 and 42 weeks is considered normal. When you talk to any eight-month pregnant woman, they can’t wait for it to end. They’re excited to meet the baby, and their body has no space left.

From the beginning of pregnancy, morning sickness forces us to slow down. Both babies and possibilities take time. For so many women, the space between conception and the knowing of pregnancy is filled with raging hormones and feelings of tired, franticness. When our eyes are first opened to new possibilities, we tend to get frantic and try to do everything all at once, thus skipping essential steps. If you force a baby out of the womb too early, it dies. If you force new possibilities out into the world too early, it dies.

When a pregnancy is wanted and welcomed, something very peculiar happens. She begins ruminating and researching everything about pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting. For me, it was completely uncontrollable for my first three births. I HAD to dismantle the entire history of childbirth, find my power, and honor my process of creation.

The rumination and resting phase is the time of learning and growing in the slow, quiet spaces between our knowing (Ajna or Third Eye), feeling (Solar Plexus), and instinct (Spleen).  These three centers act as a filtration system for the pressures of life.

Rumination and resting are our time to rewire our DNA so that when we act upon our possibilities, we do so without our conditioning perpetuating our toxic cycles. In pregnancy, the resting and rumination phase lasts almost the entire 40 weeks, and it feels like it will last forever; patience is necessary.

You are important. Take your time looking at your cycles and generational cycles; any pattern that is not broken will be repeated and, ultimately, will take more time to learn. It’s healthy to slow down. Our bodies are not equipped to work at the speed of capitalism.

When her belly is tight and shiny, and the sway of her walk has become more of a waddle, the time has come… to clean the baseboards behind the washer and dryer because the baby can’t arrive in a dirty house. WTF?!? She has been unable to get out of bed for the last nine months, and now she is cleaning and organizing the entire house!

She has transitioned from the black magic of the internal world to the white magic of action.

In pregnancy, we call this nesting.
In writing, we call this editing and formatting.
In business, we call this planning and strategizing.
In art, we call this painting, drawing, or creating.
In music, we call this playing and producing.

This phase is characterized by a sudden surge of energy, during which we play, edit, plan, strategize, build, organize, and market the coming birth or event, which is a very specific date and time AND a complete mystery. LOL!

Life is built on 64 ancient paradoxes, each a gift and a shadow. When a paradox is trapped in our mind, we call it cognitive dissidents. When we shift the energy into our body and allow our body to understand the nuance, we have a paradox that can be alchemized.

As we allow our feelings to influence our mental process, we see different perspectives of the characters in our lives and rewrite the stories more honestly and with dignity. These are the dark spaces where our knowing is created, and our DNA begins to rewire our instincts.

Magic isn’t something you practice; it’s something you become. I AM magic. You ARE magic. The internal world, the darkness within each one of us, IS us. We carry our darkness into the light, our external us. Our reality. The 3D world. You know, the bills and responsibilities… And there we sacrifice with red magic. The birth.

My fourth birth was intentionally completely unassisted. With a C-section and two homebirths already under my belt and years of research and knowledge, I felt equipped to keep my own medical records, which equated to one piece of paper tracking my basic vitals. We had just moved to Portland, Oregon, and I didn’t know anyone, but I wasn’t scared. I was delighted! Grounding deep into my body, I created a home for my family. After three days of fairly pleasant labor, she was born — 7 pounds 13 ounces, perfectly healthy in every conceivable way. Sixteen years later, she’s still profoundly grounded.

Together, she and I danced through the pain of labor. My partner tended to my every need. We had a birthday party with the other kids because they knew they would meet their brother or sister soon.
In the early morning, two became three, blossoming into our family of seven.

When we intentionally create, the possibilities are infinite.

The Creatress Book Club assists you on your journey through rumination and rest. Sometimes, the journey gets rocky. We move or change jobs, get a divorce, or change our name, and sometimes, we burn our whole lives down. Normally, there’s a lot of deep isolation because you are raising the standards for your life, old friends, patterns, and habits melt away.

What are you going to create? Each of us creates our unique path, which only becomes visible one step at a time, one day at a time. Baby steps every day.

Taking responsibility for the magic you create in your life is priceless, and you might go broke before the abundance flows. Get a book —they’re cheap. And don’t just read it —learn it. Join us in the Creatress Book Club!

I’m rooting for you!
I love you. You got this!

P. S. Our planet goes through the birthing or Creatress Process every year, and we call them seasons.
